Congratulations! And, welcome to Long Beach City College. You have chosen to pursue your college education at one of California’s premier community colleges. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start, so we have provided these how-to guides on the application process from start to finish. Whether you are a first-time student, returning student or veteran, these guides will guide you through the admissions process, and get you started on the right path to your degree.

During the College shutdown, limited services will be available from the Financial Aid Office. All processing of aid payments will go on as normal and you will receive any aid payments as expected.



The Welcome Center at Long Beach City College is a great place to start on your journey to becoming an LBCC Viking! Whether you are a first-time student, a returning student, or a community member, the Welcome Center is a one-stop shop that provides you with general information and services to get you connected to the LBCC community.


International Student Services

LBCC Campuses are closed to students and members of the public as of Tue, March 17, 2020. Student Services are not conducting business in-person until further notice. Please visit the LBCC Coronavirus COVID-19 website for alternative means of service.

International Admission: During this closure, we will assist you remotely with your admission inquiries, as well as intake and process of International Admission Applications. You will complete the online international admission application and upload the required documents, in PDF form through the online application. To access the list of required documents you may visit The International Students Program Requirements page. After you have submitted your application, you will receive an email with your application confirmation number within 48 hours.

Long Beach City College offers Associate Degrees, Transfer Programs, Vocational Certificates and intensive English language program.
